Tech4Fab
The TECH4FAB project aims to strengthen the resilience and agility of industrial value chains by addressing the challenges of manufacturing technologies, metallurgical processes, environmental management and energy solutions.
Based on advanced manufacturing processes, including additive and hybrid processes, the project develops technologies to improve efficiency, reduce costs and integrate new functionalities.
The R&D demonstrators are divided into four themes:
- Improving the ratio of manufacturing speed to production cost
- Improving the surface finish of complex parts
- Increasing product efficiency by integrating new functionalities
- Improving circularity in additive processes and optimising the associated raw materials.
These demonstrators serve as test beds for technological innovations, with the aim of achieving a high level of industrial maturity (TRL 7/8). Cross-border collaboration will help accelerate the development and adoption of these technologies in order to strengthen the sustainability of the industrial ecosystem.
MATERIA NOVA'S MISSIONS :
As a specialist in the engineering of feedstocks that can be used in additive manufacturing, Materia Nova will play an active role in development projects aimed at improving the manufacturing speed/cost ratio and will coordinate the technical development aimed at improving the circularity of additive manufacturing processes, in particular by introducing recycled materials into these high-tech processes (DR6 research demonstrator).
Materia Nova will coordinate the circularity pillar of the project's processes and will also be involved in the heart of the project, i.e. listening to industrial needs and developing solutions to meet those needs.
