The aim of the GRASS project is to raise awareness of the difference in fire behaviour between natural and artificial turf and to improve the fire behaviour of artificial turf by developing innovative, environmentally friendly and industrially applicable processes. In this project, constant interaction will be organized with a resonance group in which installers, sports clubs, authorities and end-users are represented alongside producers. The involvement of this resonance group guarantees that the technical innovations resulting from this project will be acceptable to all parties in the artificial turf sector – from production to use and up to recycling – and will be put into practice.
