ELOISE
- Start of the project: 07/2021
- End of the project : 12/2023
The aeronautics market is looking for technological innovations in passive cooling since the systems developed by Calyos, such as the LHP (Loop Heat Pipe), can meet its needs, but are not certified and have therefore never been realized.
The ELOISE project aims at demonstrating that Calyos' passive two-phase loop technology is innovative and disruptive for aeronautics and that it represents a credible alternative solution for the principals.
In particular, the electronics targeted by the project operate in a very demanding thermal environment: the two-phase system coupled with the hybrid solutions of this project could be adapted to this specific requirement, whereas other technologies are difficult to implement there, in particular because they allow the transfer of energy to an existing cold wall without the need for a duct or a heat exchanger.
The objective is therefore to definitively demonstrate the credibility of the technology and to increase its maturity (TRL2 to TRL4) in order to accelerate its entry into the aeronautical market.
